Otherwise known as Queso Blanco – it’s the Queso you’ve been missing out on. This delicious 5-Ingredient White Queso is super easy to make.
1 tsp Garlic powder
1 tsp Onion powder
1 tsp Chili powder
1 10 oz. can Rotel tomatoes & green chilies, original
8 oz Cream cheese, full-fat
1 lb Pepperjack cheese
½ c. Sour cream, full-fat
¾ c. Whole milk
½ c. Fresh Cilantro – chopped (optional as a garnish and flavor boost!)
OR ½ c. Fresh Salsa (garnish)
In a medium pot over LOW heat, combine the cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, and Rotel. You can also use a crockpot, just make sure to come back and stir periodically.
Let the mixture heat until the cheeses melt and a smooth cream forms, stirring often. This should take 15-20 minutes. Add the spices (more to your spice level) Add milk 1 T at a time to thin slightly, if needed.
Once melted, add cilantro or fresh salsa on top, serve immediately, or transfer to a slow cooker with a “warm” setting to keep dip warm and melted. Enjoy!
